IMPORTANT: The late fee of $25 has already been added to the total license costs reflected in the payment portal

To Renew Your License You Will Need:

Level 3 Advisory    The Renewal Notice/Courtesy Reminder, or a copy of your current license(s)

Level 3 Advisory    Banking information  – either a credit/debit card or your bank routing number (found on the bottom of your checks).

Select payment type, select ‘Add Item’ on the bottom right corner, find your license type and add.

 

Before continuing, please ensure you are renewing one of the following license types:

  • Retail Food
    • Food Large(FL) - $115.00
    • Food Small(F) - $85.00
  • Food Manufacturing(M) - $115.00
  • Trailer Court or Campground (includes youth camps, work camps)
    • Trailer Court Large(TL) - $120.00
    • Trailer Court Medium(TM) - $60.00
    • Trailer Court Small(T) - $40.00
  • Body Art (includes tattooing, piercing, cosmetic tattooing, microblading)
    • Tattooing(TT) - $135.00
    • Body Piercing(BP) - $135.00
  • Public Accommodation (includes hotels, motels, tourist homes, bed and breakfasts, etc)
    • Hotel Large(HL) - $160.00
    • Hotel Medium(HM) - $80.00
    • Hotel Small(H) - $40.00
  • Pool or Spa (includes water features, wading pools, splash decks)
    • Pool(4,000 gallons or more)(P) - $200.00
    • Spa(Less than 4,000 gallons)(S) - $75.00

Conditions for Online Renewal:

  • Accepted methods of payment:
    • Visa
    • MasterCard
    • Discover
    • AmEx
    • Electronic check
  • Multiple licenses may be paid for on a single transaction.
  • Transactions returned for insufficient funds will be charged a $10 return fee.
  • A non-refundable transaction fee will be applied during the “Transaction Summary,” when ‘Payment Type’ is selected. This non-refundable transaction fee is calculated as follows:
  • Credit/Debit Cards - $1.19 per transaction + 3% of License fee(s).
  • Electronic Checks - $1.19 per transaction


TIPS for Online Renewal:

  • There will be an option to print a receipt when the process is complete, and a copy will be sent to the email you provided in Customer Information.
  • If a receipt does not appear at completion of payment, then the renewal process may not have been successful.
  • Please email hhsfcs@mt.gov after seven (7) business days if you didn't get a receipt. While EHFS cannot reprint receipts, we may be able confirm payment was received.
  • Do not use the '&' (ampersand) symbol in the 'ESTABLISHMENT NAME', just leave a blank space.
  • Items marked with an * are required information.
  • Under 'FIRST NAME' and 'LAST NAME' in the 'Customer Information' section, you may enter the name of the owner, the name of the manager, or the name of the person entering the information.
  • Update Contact Information for Licensees. Use this form to update your contact information or mailing address ONLY.
  • New Owners or location changes must contact the Local Environmental Health Department.

  • This online service is provided by a third party working in partnership with the State of Montana.
  • EHFS does not retain customer credit card numbers.
  • EHFS does not take payment over the phone.
  • License fee overpayments will be refunded by check, however the transaction fee will NOT be refunded.
