A little bit about what I do...

As the Program Manager, I am responsible for overseeing and managing the Diabetes Prevention and Control Program. This includes oversight of the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of State and Federal grant requirements, evidence-based public health policies and interventions, proposals, contracts, planning and coordinating program outreach, training and support.

A little bit about what I do...

As the Office Manager/Financial Specialist I organize and coordinate our office to help things moving along smoothly. This includes coordinating meeting, conferences, and mailings. My duties as Financial Specialist have me overseeing our various grants/budgets ensuring paying our customers on time and keeping each budget reconciled while coordinating with our Program Manager.

A little bit about what I do...

As the consultant to the Montana Diabetes Program I work on increasing access to and the quality of diabetes self-management education and support (DSMES) for Montanans living with diabetes. I coordinate a self-study and peer-mentoring program for health professionals in diabetes care and education, and I provide technical assistance in helping develop diabetes education programs across the state. I serve as the Quality Coordinator for our Montana Diabetes Education Accreditation "umbrella" Program, and help smaller, more rural sites to develop diabetes education services that are billable and sustainable. I also coordinate a statewide work group on diabetes care in the school setting, and serve as a diabetes resource person for health care professionals across Montana.

A little bit about what I do...

As an epidemiologist I assess and monitor the diabetes, prediabetes population for risk factors and outcomes to these diseases. Translate data into communication materials for the general public, people with diabetes, and public and private health practices.

A little bit about what I do...

As a GIS Analyst I use computer-based spatial location data and tools to answer questions and create maps for chronic disease and population health program reporting. I work with staff to use these systems and methodologies to store, visualize, analyze, and interpret geographic data in many different projects and contexts for the benefits of our customers and decision makers.

As the Diabetes Prevention Program Coordinator, I provide ongoing support and technical assistance to local sites across Montana that implement the National Diabetes Prevention Program. I monitor program activities and the completion of grant deliverables as well as identify educational needs and training opportunities.
