Alcohol Outlet Density

One factor that has been identified relating to use of alcohol in minors is alcohol retail density. This refers to the number of alcohol outlets in a given area and may also be expressed as the number of alcohol outlets per capita. Areas of high alcohol retail density experience greater increases in underage drinking and underage binge drinking as children age into young adults.
