Information for Retailers
WIC serves over 20,000 mothers and children a month in Montana. WIC is a nationwide nutrition program funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and you help make it work.
As part of the retail community, you are an important link to providing better nutrition and promoting good health for pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and young children. In fact, women who participate in WIC have healthier pregnancies and babies. The nutritious foods provided through WIC also help their children grow strong with fewer health and/or learning problems.
WIC participants are able to redeem their benefits with any Montana WIC authorized Retailer and studies show that in addition to WIC dollars spent in your store, additional personal purchases are also made.
Any interested grocery store, located in Montana, who wishes to participate in the Montana WIC Program, is encouraged to contact Retail Services for more information.
