Lincoln County WIC Moving

We want to thank Linda Wagner and Peggy Smith for their many years with the WIC Program in Lincoln County.  We will miss your presence and questions at trainings.  You were always the first to reach out to new staff and make them feel welcome.  You will truly be missed.  Good luck with whatever the future may bring your way.

WIC services will be provided by the Northwest Community Health Center in Lincoln County in February.

Similac Formula Reminder

Please remember that you may not start infants on or switch infants to Similac Total Comfort, Similac Sensitive or Similac for Spit Up at this point in time. Also, please continue to encourage infants currently on these formulas to transition to Advance or Prosobee. If you need any clarification on formula issuance, please call Chris or Kate at the state office, thank you!

Juice Change in Child Food Packages

A short program was created and run that changed the juice in the child food package. If a child had an existing food prescription that started on or after May 1st, the program changed the juice description to the new version. If a child needed a food prescription to start on May 1st because of the juice change, one has been added. As participants arrive for clinic visits, be sure to review the benefits before printing.

Requesting Montana WIC Photos

This year is the 40th anniversary of the WIC program. Montana WIC is preparing to help local agencies celebrate this occasion, and is requesting any historical or current photographs you may have of WIC staff and activities in your area, such as this example. These photos will be used as part of outreach materials for the anniversary celebrations. Please scan and email any photos to Kevin, or mail them in and he will scan and return the photo to you promptly.
