  2. MOSQUITO SAMPLES reflect results from counties that are part of a sampling effort. In these areas, single samples of up to 50 mosquitoes were tested for WNV.The number of samples tested to date (shaded area) and the number of positive samples found are detailed.
CAUTION - Counties not identified with WNV may still have the virus present despite the lack of positive test results . It should be presumed that the virus can be found anyplace in Montana and all residents should follow the recommended precautions.
