Passwords

(Passwords should be at least eight characters long. They should contain at least one capital letter and one number. Some systems do not allow the password to begin with a number. New passwords should not have been used previously. If you need a password reset, call (406) 444-9500.)

AWACS: (Oracle)

 

Call (406) 444-9500 and give them your login Id and which database you are logging into. (These passwords cannot begin with a number.  This password is the same as your timesheets password).
Birth Records

 

Call (406) 444-9500 and give them your login Id.  (This password is the same as your timesheets password.)
Mainframe:

 

You will know if you need your mainframe password reset if you get the message "Password not Matched" or "Login suspended because of password violations". Once you login with the new password you will get a Change Password window. Type in a new password, tab, and type in the new password a second time and hit enter.

If you are using the internet version, you will get a network login first. Use dphhs for the user name and 3270 for the password.

To change your mainframe password, put in your old password, tab and change the “N” to a “Y” for the change password question and enter.

When you successfully change your mainframe password it automatically changes your DocumentDirect and Caps DocGen passwords.

If you are using the internet version, you will get a network login first. Use montana (all lower case) for the user name and 3270 for the password.

Network:

 

If you use only one password to get to your desktop and you get asked to change your network or Windows password, you can change the password right away, or change it once you're logged in by pressing ctrl-alt-delete and clicking on Change a password. Fill in the fields for changing your password and hit the arrow next to confirm password. When you successfully change this password, if you use the DPHHS Citrix site (to get into applications like PERQS or Time and Travel) it is automatically changed too.
Outlook:

 

Outlook --  Log into Outlook, then go to >>Tools >>Options >>Other Tab >>Advanced Options >>Custom Forms >>Password. The username is your c#, the domain is state.mt.ads.
SABHRS: (Statewide Accounting/ Budgeting/  Human Resource System)

 

Login to SABHRS using the MINE site -- The MINE password is the same as your Outlook Password.
Timesheets:

 

Call (406) 444-9500 and give them your login Id. (These passwords cannot begin with a number.)  (These passwords are the same as AWACS, CCUBS and Birth Records/Virtual Pavilion.)
Virtual Private Networking:

 

To access shared systems through the internet, you will need a password. Call TSC at (406) 444-9500 to get reset.
Windows OS:

 

Call (406) 444-9500.

Excerpt from Montana Operations Manual - Policy
POL-Username and Passwords:

  1. Passwords will be at least six characters long and contain at least one numeric and one alphabetic character.
  2. Initial passwords assigned to new usernames must be changed by the user at their initial login.
  3. Passwords will be changed at least every 60 days.
  4. Passwords will not be reused for at least six cycles.
  5. Passwords must not be written down where they can be found by
    unauthorized personnel and must not be shared with other individuals.
