If you lock up or get kicked out of a mainframe session, you will need to reboot your machine and log back into the mainframe. When you get as far as the Supersession Main Menu, where you select CICS, you'll need to check the status column. If it says Active, type a "T" next to CICS and hit enter twice. This will takedown your session that was running before you got locked up. Then you can just select CICS as usual and you should be working fine.
If you are in Extra and are just sitting at an hourglass, go up to file, and Exit Extra. Then open it back up. If your machine will not let you shut down because you have an Extra session still open, you may need to end task in the Close Program dialog box. Hit ctrl-alt-del and highlight Extra in the close program box and click on end task.
If you have logged into Extra and are having problems getting into applications or are getting error messages, for example, "connection reset by peer" or ''application not available", call (406) 444-9500.
