CCUBS Setup Instructions for Secure Access
SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is now working for CCUBS. You will no longer need VPN to access CCUBS securely. The new secure link for CCUBS is: https://oraweb.hhs.mt.gov/ccubs/ssl-ccubs-mt.gov.html . Follow the two steps listed below to prepare your PC to run CCUBS securely. (hint: Since the process requires restarting the computer, you may want to print this page.)
Step 1.
Click on the new link for CCUBS listed above. The first time you access this new link, you will likely be asked to download a newer version of Jinitiator from Oracle. If you are, just click 'Yes' to download the new update, click 'Yes' again to confirm that you wish to install Jinitiator 1.3.1.17. Click 'Next' on the next two screens and then click 'Ok' when it's finished. Finally, be sure to close your browser window. Restart your computer and return to this page (http://www.dphhs.mt.gov/tsc/ccubs/) and then continue with Step 2. If you already have version 1.3.1.17 of Jinitiator installed (and consequently aren't prompted to install it), you can proceed with Step 2.
Step 2.
Click on this link http://www.dphhs.mt.gov/tsc/ccubs/certdb.exe to download the needed security certificates for Jinitiator. Select 'Open' and click on 'Unzip'. You should receive a message saying that the file has been successfully added. Then, click 'Close'. You should now be able to access the CCUBS system using the new CCUBS link (listed above).
