Dear EAT RIGHT MONTANA Friend:
The “graying of America” is a fact of life – and an important demographic trend. The growing number of older Americans, and the lifestyles of aging boomers, will profoundly affect all of us – both personally and professionally. Fortunately, there’s tons of information about nutrition and physical activity in the aging process and in the lives of American seniors. Here are some resources we used in preparing the October Healthy Families packet.

The Graying of America (from USDA Economic Research Service): www.ers.usda.gov/publications/FoodReview/Sep2002/
This issue of FoodReview is all about seniors, covering everything from food security and Food Stamp usage to nutrition needs and food borne illness.
