Statutory Investigative Laws
The Department of Health and Human Services (DPHHS) is authorized to protect aged persons, adults with disabilities and adults with developmental disabilities, who are abused, neglected, sexually abused or exploited.
The Department is authorized to investigate reports of abuse, neglect, sexual abuse and exploitation involving older persons and persons who are developmentally disabled.
