Montana Diabetes Project Advisory Coalition
In 1995, the Montana Diabetes Project initiated the Montana Diabetes Advisory Coalition (MDAC), comprised of key stakeholders from around the state. The MDAC currently consists of nearly 50 members who provide input and feedback on diabetes initiatives such as the Montana Diabetes Project State Plan. The MDAC’s current members are from organizations like the ADA, AADE, Montana Primary Care Association, Montana Quality Improvement (QI) organization and other Montana chronic disease programs. Members include diabetes educators, dieticians, primary care clinicians, endocrinologists, researchers from Montana universities, pharmacists, representatives of Indian Health Services (IHS) and Veterans Affairs (VA), and individuals living with diabetes.
