Pandemic Flu Resources for Health-Care Professionals

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services has recently updated its pandemic flu preparedness and response plan. The department also has created preparedness checklists for local health jurisdictions and hospitals.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have developed a Pandemic Influenza Toolkit that provides a compilation of resources and information that clinicians can use to discuss pandemic influenza with patients and to provide care in the event of a flu pandemic.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration provides recommendations for health-care workers on the use of personal protection equipment (PPEs) during influenza outbreaks, including avian flu pandemics.
