DPHHS releases a state public health assessment for public comment
The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) is encouraging the public to provide feedback on the initial draft of the 2012 Montana State Public Health Assessment.
The report titled, "Montana State Public Health Assessment 2012", can be viewed by visiting the DPHHS website at: www.dphhs.mt.gov and clicking on the Montana State Public Health Assessment link. Feedback is being gathered at this website through a brief survey.
"Our goal is to have the general public view statewide data provided and let us know if they believe we have described the major public health issues affecting Montanans," said DPHHS Director Anna Whiting Sorrell. "Based on this feedback, we will decide if there are changes that need to be made."
The survey will close February 24, 2012.
Once the State Public Health Assessment has been finalized, the next step will be to prioritize the major public health issues and work with public health partners to address these issues strategically on a statewide level.
