Grand re-opening for Office of Public Assistance in Lame Deer is August 30
A grand re-opening celebration will be held at the local County Office of Public Assistance in Lame Deer on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 11 a.m.
The office provides services for the following programs including Medicaid, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and Healthy Montana Kids.
The event will include remarks from Northern Cheyenne Tribal Vice President Joe Fox, Jr., Department of Public and Health and Human Services Director Anna Whiting Sorrell and Lesa Evers of the Governor’s Office of Indian Affairs.
The new location for the Office of Public Assistance will be at 228 Montana Ave. The office is currently staffed by Tanya Watson, Kim Bortz, Autumn Madrigal, Timothy Cook, Channing Olson and Coleman Mack.
“We believe the new location will provide improved access for local residents to access these important services,” Whiting Sorrell said.
