Public meeting to focus on needs
of people with disabilities
A public hearing focusing on the needs of people with disabilities will be held Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 3 to 4:15 p.m. via videoconference in nine Montana cities, the Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) announced today.
The meeting is sponsored by the Montana Vocational Rehabilitation Program and the Statewide Independent Living Council.
“The purpose of the forum allows people with disabilities to share their comments and suggestions regarding vocational rehabilitation and independent living services provided by the state,” said DPHHS Vocational Rehabilitation program manager Mike Hermanson. “The comments help both programs evaluate their services in an effort to best meet the needs of their consumers.”
The hearing will be held simultaneously at the following nine videoconference sites around the state.
