Yellowstone County OPA returns to North Street office
Yellowstone County Office of Public Assistance (OPA) staff has moved back into their 111 North 31st Street office location, Department of Public Health and Human Services officials said today.
In late May, water damage to the North Street office forced OPA office staff to temporarily relocate to the Billings Job Service until repairs could be made.
DPHHS director Anna Whiting Sorrell said through it all Yellowstone County OPA office staff continued to serve the public without interruption. "We really appreciate the general public’s patience and understanding over the past several weeks," Whiting Sorrell said. "I also can’t thank the Billings Job Service enough for allowing our OPA staff to use some of their office space."
Yellowstone County OPA director Brenda Rush said the 111 North 31st Street office is now holding normal business hours at its usual location from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office will be closed on Monday for the Fourth of July before reopening again Tuesday, July 5.
Rush reminds those who need public assistance can also apply online at dphhs.mt.gov. Many of the programs offered include the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Medicaid, Healthy Montana Kids and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families. The Yellowstone OPA office can be reached by calling 406-237-0520.
