Wibaux County Public Assistance Office to Move

The Public Assistance Bureau of the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services has announced that its public assistance office in Wibaux County will move this month.

The department will no longer rent space at 201 South Wibaux Street in Wibaux but will see individuals by appointment at the Wibaux County Nursing Home, 712 South Wibaux Street.

Wibaux County residents can now get information about state public assistance programs by calling the Dawson County Office of Public Assistance in Glendive, 377-4314.

“It’s our intention to interview people personally when they want that contact, but we also encourage people to use the telephone whenever possible as an efficient way to do business with us,” said Lisa Brittingham, director of the Dawson County Office of Public Assistance.

Applications and postage-paid return envelopes can be picked up at the Wibaux County Courthouse. Applications are also available from the Dawson County Office of Public Assistance.
