How To Make a Referral

Montana Chemical Dependency Center (MCDC)
is the sole state chemical dependency treatment facility administered by the Department of Public health and Human Services, Addictive and Mental Disorders Division.  It is a new facility with 48 in patient treatment beds and operates 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

 People suffering from the disease of addictions especially those suffering from substance use disorders may submit referrals from a Montana State Licensed Addiction counselor using the ASAM (American Society of Addiction medicine (ASAM) Level III.5 and III.7 Dimensional analysis with a bio psychosocial assessment and use history.

Applications are reviewed by the trained MCDC staff in a timely manner to determine if intense treatment is required for the applicant.

Once a patient has been admitted for treatment an arrival time is schedule for the patient.  All Patients are encouraged to have a support person bring them to and from MCDC.
