Montana EPHT Technical Needs Assessment
An information technology (IT) assessment was initiated to access the IT infrastructure currently in place at the State and local levels. This assessment will include a review of policies, hardware, and software being utilized by Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS), Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), and The Montana Natural Resource Information System (NRIS). The consultants hired to complete this assessment will provide recommendations on options available for linking databases given the results of the assessment. We will also be developing an electronic template to gather information on existing databases with relevance to environmental public health tracking. This database inventory will provide a summary of information about existing databases that could have relevance to the Environmental Public Health Tracking Project.
