Interest 04/03//2006 NHTSA Publishes Inaugural Issue of EMS Update |

| In
March, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) published
its inaugural issue of EMS Update to keep EMS comrades up-to-date on its
most current programs, projects, and products. EMS Update replaces NHTSA’s
Liaison Report with a new, more readable format. The Administration plans
to produce full reports of its activities twice a year, and provide an in-depth
look at specific programs and projects in shorter issues several times a
year.
The March issue features the latest news on the EMS Education Agenda for the Future; National EMS Information System or NEMSIS; Enhancement of 9-1-1 Services project; National EMS Research Agenda; Guide to Interfacility Patient Transfer; and First There, First Care Program among others.
