BUTTE - Butte-based Town Pump is buying 50 lifesaving devices for heart
attack victims and donating them to Montana communities, company officials
said. The company is taking applications for the automated external
defibrillators, which can reset heart rhythms with electric shocks.
Gina Reid of the
American Heart Association said the machines are accurate, easy to
use, and have already saved many lives.
Town Pump operates convenience stores, casinos, restaurants, motels,
car washes and propane and petroleum businesses.
