Drew Dawson Retiring

It is with both excitement and trepidation that I will soon retire from DPHHS. I have accepted a position as Chief of the Division of Emergency Medical Services at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in Washington, D.C. While I will start my new position on April 21,2003, my last day at DPHHS will be around April 11th.

After over thirty years with Montana state government, beginning a new position in a different location will be an interesting, challenging and rewarding experience. I will be closely involved with leading efforts to improve our nation’s emergency medical services system … a part of my professional and personal life that is very near and dear to my heart. And, with the benefit of my experience with public health, I anticipate an even greater national coordination between emergency medical services and public health

Thanks for everything.
