HIRMS Modules
Resource Management

  Incident Management

This module will make management of the data collected in previous modules user friendly, visible and useful.

Initial development of this module will be development of resource management screens for hospitals.

Hospitals will be able to utilize this web-based capability to report their bed capacity, divert status, availability of special services and other important information related to patient care. On a routine basis, this would enable ambulances transporting into larger facilities to query ER status before calling on the radio, ie. both Billings hospitals could be queried to see if either is on trauma divert. At the hospital level, small hospitals could query whether a neurosurgeon is available in a larger hospital or whether helicopter or air ambulance is already on a mission or not. On a disaster, an incident commander can monitor the location of ambulances, where they are going and the capacity and capability of hospitals they are transporting to.

In subsequent phases, resource screens of other resources - individualized for other users - will be developed.

Relationship / Integration With Other Modules:

  • Integrates with the EMS Licensing module

  • Integrates with the MHMAS module

  • Integrates with Incident Management module

  • Integrates with the System Tracking module
