Facility-Based Work Services
Who?
Facility-based work services are currently provided to 689 individuals. These centers provide work and other services, but these programs, in general, are in larger communities and tend to have a stronger orientation towards paid, facility-based employment.
What?
These programs provide a range of services including paid work and job skill or functional life skill training. The work generally occurs in a facility owned or leased by the service contractor. The individuals served generally engage in producing a product or delivering a service as a paid employee of the contractor agency.
How?
To learn more about Facility-Based Work Services or to apply for these services, please contact the developmental disabilities program office nearest you. You may also obtain additional information about the location of these services by contacting the service provider agencies listed below. Once eligibility for services has been established and a service opportunity becomes available, a developmental disabilities case manager will assist you in the process of entering services.
