Intensive Community Homes
Who?
These homes serve adults who have few self-help skills or have challenging behaviors. These homes provide an intensive level of training and supervision with few residents (generally six) and a higher staff ratio. There are 316 individuals receiving intensive community home services in 43 homes statewide.
What?
In addition to having a place to live, individuals residing in these homes receive assistance with activities of daily living and individualized skill acquisition training designed to assist them to move towards greater independence and to become a participating member of the community.

You may also obtain additional information about the location of these services by contacting the service provider agencies listed below. Once eligibility for services has been established and a service opportunity becomes available, a developmental disabilities case manager will assist you in the process of entering services.
