Program Descriptions

Developmental Disabilities Program - Our mission is to support choices and opportunities for people with developmental disabilities in their communities. Services include residential services, work and other day services, home-based services to families, and other services for consumers with developmental disabilities.

Montana Vocational Rehabilitation Programs - Our mission is to promote work and independence for Montanans with disabilities. Services can include counseling, evaluation, training, medical, transportation, job placement, and other services necessary to get the consumer to work.

Blind and Low Vision Services - Our mission is to promote work and independence for Montanans with visual disabilities. Blind and Low Vision Services Program provides a broad range of services to assist eligible individuals with visual disabilities in finding or maintaining employment and increasing independence.

Disability Determination Services - The Disability Determination Services (DDS) works with the Social Security Administration (SSA) in administering two disability programs. Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) is a monthly benefit paid to eligible individuals who cannot work due to serious physical or mental disability. Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is a needs-based program that provides coverage for adults and children whose income and resources are below a specified level.

Montana Developmental Center (MDC) - Located in Boulder, MDC provides residential services for about 85 consumers with developmental disabilities.
