Transportation Services

Who?

This service transports people to work and day service programs and provides access to community recreational activities. Currently, 1421 people with disabilities benefit from Transportation services.

What?

This service affords individuals with developmental disabilities the opportunity to get from their place of residence to work, day programs, recreational activities and other events when the need arises. People must not only be able to get from their home to the day program but have ready access to the community during evenings and on weekends. Transportation services must be provided in vehicles that are safe and reliable and that are operated by staff that are trained and qualified.

You may also obtain additional information about the location of these services by contacting the service provider agencies listed below. Once eligibility for services has been established and a service opportunity becomes available, a developmental disabilities case manager will assist you in the process of entering services.
