Evaluation and Diagnosis Services

Who?

These services provide comprehensive evaluations to determine disabling conditions and recommend treatment and training services. These programs are located in Missoula and Miles City and are available to individuals on a statewide basis. The agencies providing these services have the capacity to provide over 300 evaluations annually.

What?

Evaluation and diagnosis services were designed to identify the presence/absence of disabling conditions, determine individual deficits, formulate specific recommendations to address those deficits, or select treatment and/or intervention alternatives. When appropriate, the transdisciplinary evaluation staff will see individuals for the purpose of making statements regarding the rate of progress in programming as well as prognosis. A transdisciplinary team evaluation consists of an evaluation completed by a team of experts from a variety of disciplines. The composition of the team may vary in the disciplines represented according to the unique needs of the individual and family. The participation of the individual’s family in the team process may vary according to the family’s preferences.
