The Family Tree Center offers "Nurturing Parents" programs to parents of children from birth to 18 years old. The programs are designed for parents who would like to learn more about parenting, child development, and affective discipline. Free respite day care for parents who need a temporary break from heavy child-care responsibilities is also available. The center also offers a lending library.

THRIVE established the Belgrade Parent Place as a great opportunity for parents to receive parenting classes, support groups, resource library materials, home visiting, and community resource referrals.

Fort Belknap Community Council supports The Family Support Resource Centers for prevention services. The Family Support Resource Centers offer parent education classes, strengthening the role of fathers in families through the Fatherhood Initiative, and a self-help parenting manual written specifically with an American Indian perspective.

The HAPI (Hardin Area Parents Inspiring Kids) Center provides services to families in Crow Agency and surrounding areas. HAPI uses two programs that address the parenting needs of the community with “Sacred Hoop” and “Nurturing Parents” programs. “Sacred Hoop” is aimed specifically at American Indian parents and is culturally sensitive to their unique background.

The Florence Crittenton Home & Services offers a program entitled “Roots and Wings” that focuses on parenting and attachment and bonding issues. The Florence Crittenton Home serves at-risk pregnant and parenting teens. This is Montana’s only licensed maternity home providing residential treatment and care.

The Parenting Place provides a combination of home-visiting, respite child care, parent education classes and parent/child visits to a highly underserved population of at-risk families who are currently involved in pre-release or parole programs through the Missoula Correctional Services. The Parenting Place also offers technical assistance to connect with other pre-release centers and prisons in Montana.

The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes established the Mountain Haven: A Family Resource Center. It offers opportunities to strengthen families and has a “Parents as Teachers” program. The center also offers referral materials, job information, a computer area, GED preparation, educational programs for all ages, and activities to reduce substance abuse.

Partnership Project with the Polson School District #23 (PPP) is a school-based child and family support program that provides supportive services to at-risk, school-aged children and their families. Services are offered to preschool children and their families through the “Cherry Blossoms” and “Little Cherries” programs. PPP offers parenting education, skills, and classes using the Parents as First Teachers Program. SOAR (Start off and Read) is a program for new and first-time parents.
