Governor's HIV/AIDS Advisory Council
The purpose of the Governor’s HIV/AIDS Advisory Council is to ensure that the Governor’s Office has accurate and up-to-date information on issues related to Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS).
The 16-member council is appointed by the Governor and meets quarterly. It is committed to promoting the best HIV prevention available and supporting the most humane and state-of-the-art treatment available for Montanans infected with HIV.
The council collaborates with others involved in HIV/AIDS issues and provides leadership in promoting services and activities that effectively arrest the spread of HIV infection in Montana.
