Governor's Disability Advisory Council

The Governor's Disability Advisory Council advises the Governor's Office, the Department of Administration, and the Department of Public Health and Human Services on issues affecting the implementation of the federal American with Disabilities Act (ADA) in state government.

The council was continued in March 2005 by executive order of Gov. Brian Schweitzer.

The council is made up of no fewer than 11 members appointed by the Governor. At least 60 percent of the voting members must be people with disabilities. Also represented on the council are consumers of state government services and organizations representing people with disabilities.
