Please be advised there is no grace period for CNA and/or CNA/HHA recertification.
All CNAs & CNA/HHAs must renew on or before their expiration date or their certification will lapse and will be required to either take the CNA classes or challenge the state test to reinstate their certification

If you are certified in another state you can transfer your certification to Montana by completing an application and sending it in with a copy of your certification. Some states do charge a fee for this process. The following are the states that require a fee.
