Maternal & Child Health Needs Assessment
Montana Maternal Child Health (MCH) Needs Assessment 2005
The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services compiles a maternal and child health (MCH) needs assessment every five years to meet the federal Title V (MCH) Block Grant funding requirements. The needs assessment offers an opportunity to hear from parents and public health professionals across the state regarding the health needs they see in their own families and within the families they serve. The completed needs assessment incorporates the information from these stakeholders, as well as maternal and child health data collected by programs and activities over the past five years. You can find more information on the needs assessment and the Title V Block Grant requirements on the Maternal and Child Health Bureau's website, as well as links to other states' block grant applications and needs assessments. The MCH Bureau's website is located at: http://mchb.hrsa.gov/.
