* Act as a newborn screening resource for providers and the public.

* Collect and evaluate data on utilization and effectiveness of Montana's newborn screening program and follow-up services.

* Performs technical functions for the Children's Special Health Services (CSHS) section, primarily in the management of the statewide multidisciplinary medical specialty clinics.
* Develops and manages processes for location selection, client scheduling, professional level staff scheduling, multi-source reimbursement for services and resource management.
* Evaluates, interprets and summarizes data for management decision-making regarding specialty clinic activity, revenue and expenditures.
* Provides training and technical support to contractors, clinic-based staff and section staff on the CHRIS data system.
* Designs, constructs and maintains the CSHS web page.

* Develops procedures and work plans for CSHS public relations program to increase the awareness of the issues surrounding children with special health care needs. Implements program to educate the pubic regarding resources, assistance and programs available to children with special health care needs.
* Functions as a liaison for CSHS with families, health care providers, school districts, public health departments and other community resources to insure the dissemination of program information, condition specific updates and specialty access information.
* Assess and evaluate all information obtained to determine initial and on-going enrollment for CSHS according to state statutes, administrative rules and program policy.
