Cleft/Craniofacial Clinic
A multi disciplinary team provides evaluation and treatment recommendations to families of children with cleft lip/palate, velopharyngeal insufficiency with an anatomical basis and children with Apert's syndrome, Crouzon's disease, mandibulofacial dysostosis, hemifacial microsomia and other syndromes affecting facial growth. Comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic review is provided by the specialty members of this clinic team. The team discussions review available treatment options, and a consensus of recommendations is offered to the family. This is a Children's Special Health Services sponsored clinic.
Team Specialists: craniofacial specialist, plastic surgeon, pediatrician, geneticist, audiologist, otolaryngologist, social worker and/or psychologist, dental and orthodontic specialists, nutritionist, public health nurse, and speech/language pathologist, the child's primary care doctor, dentist and/or orthodontist.
